We have good news about our mobile apps: QF Mobile is moving forward, and the app is getting closer to release.
What’s happening
Passkeys, registration, and login support will come later, once we find the right way to handle those flows directly inside the app. For now, we’ve built a dedicated API specifically for the mobile app, which gives us a much cleaner and more stable foundation to work from.
That also means the app can evolve without putting the web version at risk. If something breaks on mobile, the web version should still keep working — and if something affects the web version, mobile can stay independent as long as it doesn’t involve a database change.
Why this matters
This setup gives us much more freedom to improve the app over time. It also makes it possible to ship mobile-specific features without constantly tying everything to the browser experience.
If everything continues going well, we expect QF Mobile to roll out to the Play Store in one of the coming months.
Android testers wanted
We are currently looking for 12 Android testers.
If you want to help test QF Mobile, send the Gmail address of your Play Store account to hello@quantixfoundation.com and include that you want to become a tester.
If approved, you will receive a join link within 48 hours. We do review requests, and while we don’t reject people often, approval is still not guaranteed.
Testers will only be added once we officially announce that the app is ready for testing.
What to expect
QF Mobile is being designed as the native mobile experience for account management and more. The web versions will continue to exist, but the app will offer a faster and more convenient way to handle things on mobile without needing to reopen your browser every time.
